Pamukkale refer as ” cotton castle ”  is truly a spectacular natural thermal pool which is UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1988. This place is really crowded , if you would like picture with no one there you would need to either get up really early in the morning or just wait till there’s no one and quickly snap few shots before people get in the way . Pamukkale is also relatively uncrowded from November through March during winter .  Do allow whole day make the most to explore thermal pools and the ancient city of Hierapolis which is located on the top of the white terraces . I was really unlucky that I only had half a day as my flight got delayed for 1 day and missed out to explore Hierapolis and the antique pool  . I guess this means I have to go there the second time ? Which i will be very happy to do so if i happens to stop by Turkey .

Getting to Denizli

Turkish Airlines and Pegasus airline both fly from Istanbul to Denizli’s Cardak airport  . The journey from Denizli’s Cardak airport to Pamukkale takes 1 hour . Private Taxi to Denizli city center or pamukkale will roughly cost 100TL .  If you are flying with Turkish Airline there’s a shuttle waiting for you outside the airport door to take you to either Pamukkale or Denizli City Center for 10TL. Otherwise , you could choose Baytur shuttle service which will cost 13TL .
