4 Days 3 Night in this amazing piece of paradise isn’t enough . Trust me you need at least 6 Days here to truly explore this charming piece of land that fill with interesting places that I am sure you would enjoy it . You could join day trips to visit museums and underground city , watch those colorful hot air balloons fill up the sky while sun rise, hike from one valley to another which I highly recommend but make sure you are physically fit and of course you must not miss hot air balloons ride , it’s the highlight of visiting Cappadocia . Here’s the top ten things to do while in Cappadocia.
There’s over 20 balloons companies in Cappadocia , the famous ones are royal , butterfly and voyager balloons . Here you can compare the difference between each companies . I choose Anatolian balloons as the price for private basket is so much cheaper compare to other companies . I was offered €675 instead of €750 because i paid everything in advance , the total flight time was around 90 minute and our balloons depart 40 minutes later than others so it was a little disappointing but overall a very good experience . If you hadn’t hear from them one day in advance regarding the balloons ride , please ask help from hotel receptionist to give them a call .
I did not join any day tour with travel companies because me and my partner decided to rent a car and choose what we want to do and where we want to go instead of wasting those precious time on something we did not plan to do , since a lot of travel companies will usually bring you to different souvenir shops or maybe there’s one or two places in the tour that they provide you don’t want to visit , so it will definitely be more flexible if you choose to rent a car instead since parking is not a problem there , roads are pretty good and easy to navigate. I rented my car from this company , they provide options to pick up the car at the hotel/airport and dropoff at hotel/airport , which I find it very convenient as I arrived at the hotel , the car agency staff will be waiting right outside for you to pick up the car .
Me and my partner stayed 1 night in Sultan Cave Suite & 2 Nights in Argos Cappadocia . Both of the hotels is beautifully designed and unique in its own way , Sultan Cave Suite is located in heart of Goreme , and we prefer Goreme better because it is smaller and a lot of nice restaurant there in walkable distance . Room in Sultan Cave Suite is spacious and we were very lucky because they upgraded us to the sultan suite for free. However please note that some of the rooms are with a/c and some are without , do let them know your preference in advance .
Argos Cappadocia is located at Nevsehir , it is quite a big town and it wouldn’t be very convenient if you didn’t rent a car there . The hotel is built on the top of a hill, terraces from the foot of the Uchisar “mountain”down to Pigeon Valley , the rooms are built into the rocks overlooking the pigeon valley below , it has the most spectacular view of Cappadocia . Besides that , Argos Cappadocia was recently voted one of the 100 most beautiful hotels in the world .
